UPEN is hosting an event with the Department for Transport (DfT) to present its recently updated DfT’s Areas of Research Interest 2021 (ARI).

The Young Energy Researchers Conference 2022 will take place on 2-3 March 2022 in Wels/Austria as part of the annual World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED).

This week’s gas price rises and the resulting CO2 shortage affecting the food and medical industries have really exposed the interdependencies and interactions that exist across our economy — and the implications of our ‘just in time’ supply chains.

In this episode Kim McAllister is joined by Claire Spooner from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to talk about our reliance on shipping, how it impacts climate change and what can be done to reduce its effect.
