The Oriel Environment Group’s Trinity term talk explores the renewable energy landscape in Africa, with a focus on Nigeria (Africa’s most populous country), highlighting current efforts, opportunities, and the challenges of scaling solar energy solutions. It will also delve into overcoming these challenges through policy, global organisations like the World Bank, advocacy, and academic contributions, supported by practical experiences from deploying renewable energy in Nigeria. After the talk there will be drinks held in the Harris Seminar Room, with a chance to talk to the speaker further.
