Energy Superhub Oxford Local Authority Open Day – 15th March

Alt text coming shortly

Energy Superhub Oxford was launched in 2019 to help Oxford decarbonise power, transport and heat, supporting Oxford City Council’s commitment to make the city net zero by 2040.

Four years on, we are inviting local authorities to join us in Oxford and hear directly from the project partners about learnings and insights from the delivery of:

The UK’s first grid-scale battery and EV charging network connected directly to National Grid’s high-voltage transmission network
A multi-chargepoint operator public EV charging hub with 42 charging bays and enough installed capacity for up to 400
Electrification of over 10% of Oxford City Council’s fleet
Ground source heat pump installation at 60 social housing properties
Pioneering a flexible storage heat pump technology
The morning will provide an opportunity to hear from the partners, ask questions, network and share ideas with other local authorities, while the afternoon will be spent visiting the battery storage site and EV charging hub.

Date: 15th March

Time: 10am-4pm

Venue: Oxford Town Hall, with a guided site tour of the battery and EV charging hub in the afternoon.

Space are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis so please RSVP asap to nicole.johnstone@edf-re.uk to reserve your place.
