Decarbonised heat system launches at Scottish distillery

A decarbonised industrial heat system using renewable electricity has been commissioned at Annandale Distillery in Scotland, marking what its developers describe as a first-of-a-kind deployment.
The installation, developed by Exergy3 in partnership with Annandale Distillery and Cochran Ltd, provides high-temperature process heat without relying on fossil fuels. It has been supported by funding from the UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero through its Net Zero Innovation Portfolio.
