World’s largest windfarm reaches final investment decision

Orsted has reached a final investment decision on the Hornsea 3 wind farm in the North Sea. This is set to be the world’s largest single wind farm, when completed. This will add to Hornsea 1 with 1.2GW capacity and Hornsea 2 (1.3GW). Some of the capacity of Hornsea 3 will reserved for submission to forthcoming Contracts for Difference allocation round 6.
Supported out of Grimbsy, Hornsea 3 will be the first and lead customer Hornsea 3 to be the first and lead customer for SeAH Wind’s monopile factory in Teesside.
