Record breaking funding for clean energy in Britain

The new Energy Secretary has announced a £500m uplift in the budget for renewable energy auction this year, to a total of £1.5bn for Allocation Round 6.

£1.1bn is allocated to offshore wind projects. Established technologies, including onshore wind and solar will be allocated £185m. Emerging technologies such as tidal energy schemes and floating offshore wind have been allocated £270m.
