Oxford University to lead tidal energy project for carbon emission reduction and energy security

University of Oxford is to lead a £7 million project to deliver sustainable and affordable tidal stream energy. As well as boosting energy security, this could make a meaningful contribution to reaching Net Zero goals in the UK. Investment from the Engineering Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) will support the project and address the challenges that are currently preventing tidal stream energy from reaching its potential.
