A GIS map of local and community energy projects across the UK – from EnergyRev

EnergyRev
EnergyREV is a consortium of academics with the multi-disciplinary expertise to address these questions, identify evidence to inform change in both the UK and internationally and provide new tools and insights to accelerate the delivery and roll-out of these systems.

As part of EnergyRev’s ongoing research into the barriers faced by previous and existing Smart Local Energy Systems in the UK, the EnergyREV team at Heriot-Watt University have compiled a database of local and community energy projects in the UK.

The EnergyREV UK Local Energy Map combines data from a number of existing sources to form a single, comprehensive and freely available source of information on current and historic local energy projects in the UK.

The interactive map, developed by the University of Strathclyde’s Energy Systems Research Unit, can be accessed by clicking here or by clicking on the image below. For more information on how to use the interactive map and how the underlying database was compiled, please refer to the User Guide & Summary document below. The database behind the map is also available as a download.
