JOB: PDRA in Sustainable Cooling

The Future of Cooling Programme (OMS) is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Energy and Power Group at the Department of Engineering. The post is funded by the Oxford Martin School (OMS) and is initially fixed term for 12 months.  It may be extended subject to funds.

The successful candidate will join a world-class multi-institution team and will focus on examining how and why households in fast-growing countries are making structural transitions in their cooling energy consumption, and the ways in which to moderate this shift. The post will be funded from OMS on the ‘Future of Cooling’ programme.

You should be near to completion (i.e. submitted your thesis) of a PhD/DPhil in engineering, physics, mathematics, or other related area. The successful candidate will work under Professor Malcolm McCulloch and will be responsible for the identification of opportunities for technology, management and behavioural shifts in cooling systems.
