Enabling smart local energy systems

Alt text coming shortly

Innovate UK has published a new web resource bringing together the findings from its £104m, five-year Prospering from the Energy Revolution programme. Delivered by Innovate UK and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the programme focused on exploring the great potential of smart local energy systems.

The new web pages aim to provide inspiration and learning for all working on place-based approaches to energy. They include detailed findings from the programme’s local energy system demonstrators and detailed design projects, information on all grant-funded projects, as well as research and reports on the potential benefits and barriers to ramping up smart local energy systems alongside national energy strategies. More content will be added in future.

The site also links to the output of the EnergyREV academic consortium, and the Energy Systems Catapult’s work on smart local energy, local area energy planning and the Net Zero Go platform, which were part of the Prospering from the Energy Revolution programme.
