‘Why SLES?’, a question that comes up time and time again from energy decision-makers, so we’re putting it directly to some of those responsible for delivering Smart Local Energy System (SLES) projects.
At this workshop, participants, each involved in one of six different PfER (Prospering from the Energy Revolution) funded demonstrator and detailed design projects, will pitch the value case for their SLES to a panel of experts in policy-making, local business, consumer protection, and energy networks.
For workshop attendees this will be a chance to hear directly from practitioners themselves about the types of value generated by a SLES approach to energy systems, as they make their pitches and answer questions from both our expert panel. There will also be a opportunity for workshop attendees to contribute their own thoughts and ask their own questions of each project.
The first workshop will take the form of a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style contest, where PfER participants will pitch their projects and the value they have gained from taking a Smart Local Energy Systems approach to a diverse panel of experts.
Workshop attendees will get a chance to assess these pitches, ask their own questions of the projects and share their own experiences.
