This is the Oxfordshire 2026 climate and communications conference and networking event. This is free and open to everyone and all groups interested to discuss how we can all communicate messages around climate change as effectively as possible and tackle denial and misinformation. The event will bring together climate-focused groups from across the county, along with councils, University bodies, engaged businesses, and other organisations concerned about the climate crisis.
ECI colleagues are involved in this county-wide climate and communications conference and Jan Rosenow, Energy Programme Leader and Professor of Energy and Climate Policy, will speak on climate action in 2026, while James Painter, Senior Teaching Associate, will contribute to sessions on climate communication and lead a workshop on tackling misinformation.
Tina Fawcett, Senior Researcher and Associate Professor, has helped organise the event with Oxford Friends of the Earth, and also the Oxford Climate Research Network, the Oxfordshire Community Action Groups network, and the Oxford Energy Network, with support from Climate Action Oxfordshire and Oxfordshire County Council.
