Climate change is a human rights crisis.
In June 2025 the University of Oxford is hosting a global summit on climate change and human rights in partnership with UN Human Rights, the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance, the International Universities Climate Alliance and co-host universities across the world.
Registration is now open for the 2025 Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit, which will bring together leading thinkers and practitioners at the intersection of climate change and human rights. The summit is hosted by the University of Oxford in partnership with UN Human Rights, the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance, the International Universities Climate Alliance and co-host universities from around the world. The cornerstone event is a 24-hour Global Plenary, co-delivered by co-hosts and broadcast across time zones on Livestream. The hybrid hub model aims to increase access to the global summit whilst decreasing its environmental impact.
