Summary: Clean energy technologies have been enjoying exponential growth for decades, and are now causing disruption of the fossil fuel system. Whilst the barriers are many, the drivers of change are more powerful and include falling costs, energy security, Chinese leadership, and the race to the top. So we should expect exponential cleantech growth to continue, with very profound consequences this decade. We need to clear away the barriers and get the job done.
Speaker: Kingsmill Bond, CFA, is an energy strategist at RMI. His background is as a financial market analyst and strategist, and his focus for the last decade has been on the energy transition.
